Mark 16:15
Hello Chaplain Mike coming to you. Last week was a great week, I didn’t have as many visitors as I would like. But it’s not about the amount of visitors, it’s about who God brings to the chapel. Many drivers just stop in and say hello. While others have an issue or struggle in their lives and they need to talk and have me pray with them. Sometimes all I do is listen and most times that’s is all a driver is needing, he or she just needs to vent. One example is Leo, he comes in at least one a week to visit and pray. He is a fairly new Christian and has many questions and I answer as many as I can. Discipleships is very important, and new Christian needs to be encouraged and have guidance. Because the devil is seeking to destroy anyone who follows Jesus and a new believer is at the top of his list. In 1 Peter 5:8 we read. “be sober minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” So I try to encourage new believers to pray, read their bibles and find a good Bible believing church. Discipleship is a bid part of being a chaplain.
One of the ways I disciple drivers is through my weekly Zoom Bible study. Last week I had 12 guys attend. I taught on Exodus 20:17. This was number 10 the last commandment. This commandment teaches about coventing other people’s belonging. I showed how the tenth commandment coincides with the other nine commandments. After the study we had a really good time of fellowship and prayer. This Week I am going to teach on HOPE. The scripture reference is Hebrews 11:1. Maybe I will see some of you sometime in the future at one of the Zoom meetings. Just go to my website. truckerchapel.ca and click on the Join Bible Study link.
I had 5 visitors to the chapel. My friend Max dropped in on Monday. He told me he was changing divisions with in his company and won’t be able to drop in anymore. I’m going to miss seeing him but, I must remember I can see him at the Zoom meeting and phone calls. I wish Max all the best. Well it’s time to sign off and I will write again next week and tell you about all the exciting things Jesus is doing. Until then have a blessed week.
